(What We Do & Why We Do It)
(Every movie is a staaaaar, haha)
Do you ever wonder why some award shows give awards to things you never heard of? Maybe you think a movie got snubbed, or a movie that was bombarded with praise is just too confusing for you and you just don't get it. Maybe you just never heard of anything that award shows nominate because your tastes simply don't align with theirs.
Well, at the end of the day, everyone has different opinions. And as such, everyone can give out their own awards however they damn well please.
So that's what I did.
I have made my own awards system to grant awards to the movies I feel deserve them, along with the help of some equally opinionated, equally chill guys to help make this thing of ours the most well-rounded thing we can.
Only one concrete rule: we try not to judge each other, but rather to encourage each other to check different things out. Does that make us less pretentious than, say, the Oscars? And are the Oscars pretentious in general? That's for you to decide. For now, we only ask that you join us along for the ride.
